Cyber Griffin cannot take reports of a crime or offer support with existing crime reference numbers.
Instead, the options below outline how to report a crime and access the other services available.
EMERGENCIES
In the case of an emergency, please dial 999.
LIVE CYBER ATTACKS
If you are a business and are currently subject to a cyber attack, please dial 0300 123 2040 immediately.
OTHER CYBER ATTACKS
To report all other cyber crimes please visit Action Fraud and use their online reporting tool actionfraud.police.uk
REPORTING A SUSPICIOUS EMAIL (i.e. a phishing email)
- Please forward suspicious emails to: report@phishing.gov.uk
- Suspicious text messages (smishing text messages) can be sent, along with the phone number, to 7726. This is a free service.
All reports made to Action Fraud are assessed by the National Fraud Reporting Service (NFRS). Where the NFRS decide there are reasonable lines of enquiry they will disseminate the case to an investigative team within the local police force for further enquiries. Only Action Fraud and/or NFRS will be able to update you as to their decision regarding your case.
